Following discussion on this matter on June 2, 2021 , the Commission issues the following opinion: EC Favorable Opinion Considerations: Mass and scale as a single structure is more appropriate than separating into multiple structures. The siting on the lot and location in the rear of the principal structure is appropriate. The location, mass, and scale reflect the image of a horse barn, which the DRC finds appropriate for this application. The DRC suggests the applicant consider ways to create depth in the facade, such as extending the roof eaves or bumping out some of the bays.
