RE: SCPB Referral Review #21-46-Site Plan Review & an administrative Lot
Line Adjustment for Consolidation- 19 Washington Street Development
A proposed redevelopment and construction project involving existing Starbucks and
Rip Van Dam buildings on Broadway ( 15,273 s.f. of retail, seven hotel rooms and 4
apartments- 1st floor and basement) and new construction of 31 hotel rooms and 90
residential units with 108 subterrain parking spaces fronting on Washington St.
Location: NW corner of intersection of Washington Street (NYS Rt. 29) and Broadway
(US Rt. 9 and NYS Rt. 50)
T-6 Zoning District
Received from the City of Saratoga Springs Planning Board on March 30, 2021 .
Reviewed by the Saratoga County Planning Board on April 15, 2021
Decision: No Significant Countywide or Intercommunity Impact
Comment: Because previous projects for development/ redevelopment of portions of
this site have been reviewed and approved by this Board and city review boards, there
is very little to add to prior correspondence on file with city records. The potential for
this project to complete the in-fill and enhanced streetscaping from the intersection to
the Universal Preservation Hall was viewed with much favorable response.
