RE: SCPB Referral Review #21-A-28-Subdivision Review-Thornton
A proposed two-lot subdivision of an existing 18,790-s.f. residential lot on which is an
existing residential structure. The proposed subdivision consist of creating a 11,974-
s.f. lot with an existing residence and a new, vacant residential lot with an area of
6,816 s.f.
Location: Grand Avenue & Birch Street (NE corner) approaching Washington Street
(NYS Rte 29)

Reviewed by the Saratoga County Planning Board on April 15, 2021
Decision: No Significant Countywide or Intercommunity Impact
Comment: We would recommend that the subdivider provide - if not already
proposed or presently constructed - a continuation of sidewalk along the eastern side
of Birch Street to what will be the new driveway. Additionally, it may be advisable to
receive input from staff of the City's Traffic & Safety personnel regarding any need for
signage warning approaching drivers of a new driveway after the curve approaching
Washington Street.
