Dear Tamie:

The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation has reviewed the application for the
addition and exterior aIternations at 24 Fifth Avenue.
The Colanial Revival style residence was built in 1849 and is a contributing building to
Board af Directors the East Side Historic District listed on the National Register of Histaric Places. It was

amtry Yaye and a trademark of the arcliitect as seen in his other designs, inciuding tle house at 46

aa Haey-optk reversed(preferably salvaged, if possibe) and placed in khe west side of the gable rather
secretay than placing a decorative round window in the center of ihe gable. This would be more
caro>>ne cardone in keeping with the overall asymmetrica] haracter of the house.
