Comments The request for demolition is a clear case of a self imposed
hardship. Phila Street is every bit as culturally important to the
history of Saratoga Springs as Broadway, Union Avenue or
Franklin Square. It represents an important component of the
city's history. The owner of the two above buildings purchased
them with the knowledge of their condition and their location
within designated historic districts. Any attempts to justify de-
molition due to their current condition should be denied. It is a
self imposed hardship which the owner was aware of and could
have rectified. Please deny the request
