Hello,
I have lived in Saratoga Springs for almost my entire life and in the time I
did not live in the city I never spent more than 6 weeks with out spending
some time here. Anyone who knows me know my love and dedication to this city.
I am writing to ask you that the buildings on 65 and 69 Phila Street not be
torn down. What makes are city unique and attractive to visitors is the
historical charm of our city. These two building are a part of that unique
history and with rehabilitation could be a part of this charm.
The owners of these two building have intentionally neglected these buildings
in hope of making profit on the land sale. They should not be rewarded for
allowing property in our city to fall into disrepair. It has been their
choice not to sale these properties years ago when offers were made for their
rehabilitation. Please do not allow these buildings to be torn down, our
city's uniqueness and historical value are wrapped up in buildings like
these.
Thank you for your consideration.
Regards,
Kristen Dart
