Mr. Birge, I am writing to let you know that I am opposed to the building in its present form. It overwhelms the adjacent properties and lessens the impact of the historic St. Peter's church. Please suggest to builders that a lower building would fit in better with the scope of buildings on that side of the street. Thank you, Mary K. My comments: The building does not fit into the historical architecture. It is too tall, and modern, and sticks out. The proposed building doesn't fit compared to low rise buildings on both sides. Where is the green space now? I think it Is not inviting to go to the Visitors Center from St. Peter's Church? I think it is a misfit. I am expressing myself visually. At least the tall buildings across the street in front of Congress Park at least fit in. My best for protecting our historical footprint. Lfl SEP 03 2020 Dear Bradley and members of the Design Review Commission; y The project at 269 Broadway was recently brought to my attention.Although I admit I have no ad time to review the proposal, my first impression is that It is grossly out of scale for the context of the neighborhood. The size and mass of the overall project is astounding! I strongly question the height and how it conforms to the Historic Review Guidelines. I wanted to express my deep concern for this project. Upon listening to the joint mtg. of ,, : - - - : -: •: ruse"'C I am amazed that no one has questioned the drawbacks of having a "hidden " space for street people and kids to take advantage of after hours. Living across the street I see the activity and the potential of negative activity that occurs currently on the street that has a great potential to culminate in that space. We have a lovely 17 acre civic space right across the street. My question: By What will the noise impact of the heat pump be on e neig •orhood? Heat pumps are notoriously noisy when they turn on. Will there be more than one heat pump? Thank you for considering my questions. Carol Obloy Resident of 268 Broadway https://m.sar¢
