Chairman Kaplan and Members of the Zoning Board of Appeals,
On the August 3rd agenda there is a Use Variance request for Rose Guanill at 144 West Circular Street.
As I understand it, this variance revolves around a pre-existing apartment that existed when Rose
purchased her house.
We purchased our home in 2016 and at that time, this apartment was a pre-existing condition. As I
understand Use Variances, one of the criteria is the potential impact granting the variance would have
on the neighborhood. As a neighbor, we feel that not granting this variance would have a larger impact
on the neighborhood as it could cause Rose to sell her house and leave.
While we understand that the rules of the City has made it what it is, this seems like a large mis-
understanding resolved by the granting of this variance and for that reason "We STAND WITH ROSE."
