DESIGN GUiDELINES: The Design Review Commissian will evaluate whether the proposed action (construction, alteration or demolition) is �ompatible with existing structures and surrounding properties using the foilowing criteria: • Height—cor�sistent with histaric form and context of site anr� surrounding properties • S�ale— relatianship of structure and its architecturak elemer�ts to human size, fvrm, perception • Proportion—relationship among building elements including front fa�ade, windows, and doors • Rhythm—patterr� resulxing from repeating b�ilding eler�ents suc� as door/window openings, columns, arches, anc� other fa�ade elements . Directianal Expression —compati6ility with horizantal &vertical expression of surra�r�ding structures • Massing&Open Space—relationship of stru�ture to open space between it and adjoining buildings • Setback—compatibility with surrounding structures • Compatibil�ty of the foHowing with surrounding structures/properties: - Major buiiding elements (storefronts, doors, windows, roofl - Building materials - Color—(in non-residential zoning districts only} 5.
