HomeMy WebLinkAbout20190604 Cluett House Bed and Breakfast Correspondance (20) May 12, 2020 Catherine and John Benequisto 10 Clement Ave Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 City of Saratoga Springs Planning Board City Hall—474 Broadway Saratoga Springs, New York 12866 Attention: Mark Torpey Re:Cluett House Bed and Breakfast Application#20190604(2 Clement Ave) Mr.Torpey, In an effort to maintain the health,safety and integrity of this neighborhood,and considering that this is the City's first commercial Bed and Breakfast permitted in a residential UR1 zoning district,and located opposite a children's neighborhood play area,we respectfully request that the Planning Board condition its approval of the Cluett House Bed and Breakfast. We concur with and refer to the conditions presented in the letter submitted by Gary and Beth Harker to the Planning Board dated May 11th, 2020. Many of the requested conditions were initially offered by the applicant's attorney as part of the requirements for approval. In particular,we feel special attention should be given to the renewable one year permit,which will provide a vehicle for effective communication,as well as providing a safety valve for both the applicant and the neighborhood. Thank you for your time,efforts and dedication regarding this SUP. We appreciate all that you do to maintain the integrity,safety and well being of this community.
